Archer’s Summer 1L Program is an eight-week experience designed for law students who have just completed their first year of law school. As a Summer Law Clerk, you will work alongside Archer attorneys on active matters and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day practice of law in a collegial, collaborative environment.
Summer Law Clerks are based in Archer’s Voorhees and Hackensack offices and work with attorneys across the firm’s diverse practice areas. From day one, you will contribute to meaningful internal and client-facing projects through substantive legal assignments that provide a true sample of life at Archer.
The program includes one-on-one mentoring, targeted training, and structured professional development. Summer Law Clerks also have opportunities to observe litigation and client work firsthand through court appearances, client meetings, mediations, and depositions, along with social events and networking activities that help build lasting relationships across the firm.

Job Description Summary:
Archer is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for implementing business development strategies in the firm’s Philadelphia office that support the firm’s overall growth, enhance existing client relationships, and expand the firm’s client base. The Business Development Manager will report to the Chief Business Development Officer and will be based full-time in the Philadelphia, PA office. Occasional travel to Archer’s headquarters in Voorhees, NJ may be required.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development
- Work with assigned practice areas and industry groups to develop, execute, and track strategic business development initiatives that strengthen existing client relationships and cultivate new business.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, helping them to develop and implement individual business development plans.
- Proactively participate in key business and industry professional organizations, identifying partnership opportunities to enhance the position of the firm, practice groups, and individual attorneys in the Philadelphia market and beyond.
Pitches, Proposals & Client Outreach
- Lead the development and management of client pitches, proposals, and RFPs by gathering relevant experience, performing research, drafting responses (including writing new content), securing internal approvals, and coordinating with other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a representative experience library to support pitch and proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with attorneys and the business development and marketing teams to prepare research and marketing materials for meetings with prospective clients.
Research & Intelligence
- Provide ongoing client, prospect, and industry research, as well as competitive intelligence and analysis on emerging market and industry trends, to better position the firm in winning new business.
- Assess the quality and value of business events and trade/industry organizations, focusing attorneys’ efforts on events and organizations with the highest potential. Support pre- and post-event follow-up to develop and evaluate leads.
Marketing & Communications
- Work with the Director of Communications to develop marketing collateral tied to specific business development opportunities.
- Work with the Director of Marketing to identify and secure speaking opportunities for attorneys by monitoring business and industry event calendars and trade and legal publications.
- Develop and manage an annual calendar for legal industry rankings, recognitions, and award submissions; handle completion of all submissions.
- Assist with overseeing the evaluation, approval, and processing of attorney membership dues and sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in a law firm or professionalservices environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to various audiences with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and apply research and data to make recommendations consistent with business goals.
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain the trust and confidence of key stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor.

Job Description Summary:
Archer’s Business Development & Marketing Department is seeking a developing, proactive and driven marketing and business development professional to support the firm’s business development team. The Business Development Specialist will work collaboratively with the business development team’s senior business development professionals, in addition to the department chairs, and practice group leaders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Department’s practice groups, attorneys, competition, and client base to inform and advance opportunities to develop and expand client relationships and brand awareness.
- Support the development and execution of business development initiatives, programs, events, activities and strategies for the Department and its Practice Groups, both independently and in partnership with the Department Managers and Chief Business Development Officer.
- Support RFP and pitch response strategy and creation of materials, including drafting targeted materials for tailored responses. Monitor and maintain proposal tracking database.
- Conduct research and competitive analysis inclusive of lateral activity, client insights, thought leadership, events, news/experience, and rankings.
- Ensure Department- and practice-specific business development content is compelling, accurate, and kept up to date (pitch and proposal materials updated to align with changes to external marketing content).
- Coordinate and support the development, execution, and follow-up of internal and client-facing events, with support from the firm-wide events team (includes supporting the development of event proposals, budgets, targeted list development, etc.)
- Coordinate the collection and management of matter descriptions, client permissions and references from attorneys for use in pitches, RFPs, awards and ranking submissions, etc.
- Monitor, track, and collaborate with attorneys on the practices’ knowledge/experience management efforts, using the firm’s database.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred; experience supporting Environmental, Trust & Estates, Real Estate/Land Use, and/or Business Litigation practices a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to various audiences with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and apply research and data to make recommendations consistent with business goals.
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain the trust and confidence of key stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor; responsive, diplomatic, and thorough when engaging with internal clients.
- Drive toward excellence, professionalism, and an ability to identify and understand marketplace trends.
- Interest in innovation and AI applications within professional services.
- Discretion in handling sensitive firm matters.

Salary and Benefits:
Archer & Greiner P.C offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The budgeted salary range for this position is $53,000–$65,000. Salary will be commensurate based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors.

Office/Practice Group Assistant
Archer & Greiner, P.C. seeks a detail-oriented and highly organized Office/Practice Group Assistant to join the Corporate and Trust & Estate Practice Groups in our Voorhees Office. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of administrative tasks.
This is a full-time onsite position reporting to the Senior Human Resources Support Staff Manager. The hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive salary and a collegial work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- File, organize, and maintain the Corporate and Trust & Estate Practice Groups’ documents and records.
- Assist with data entry, including updating and maintaining databases.
- Perform general administrative duties, such as photocopying, scanning, opening and closing files.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Assist with various administrative projects as needed.
- Provide support for other departmental tasks that arise.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all legal documents and information.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree is a plus).
- Two years of law firm experience (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
