Summer Law Clerk 1L Program

Archer’s Summer 1L Program is an eight-week experience designed for law students who have just completed their first year of law school. As a Summer Law Clerk, you will work alongside Archer attorneys on active matters and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day practice of law in a collegial, collaborative environment.

Summer Law Clerks are based in Archer’s Voorhees and Hackensack offices and work with attorneys across the firm’s diverse practice areas. From day one, you will contribute to meaningful internal and client-facing projects through substantive legal assignments that provide a true sample of life at Archer.

The program includes one-on-one mentoring, targeted training, and structured professional development. Summer Law Clerks also have opportunities to observe litigation and client work firsthand through court appearances, client meetings, mediations, and depositions, along with social events and networking activities that help build lasting relationships across the firm.

Archer interviews accomplished students from leading law schools throughout the region. We look for demonstrated academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to work in teams, and a commitment to inclusivity.
