Maureen Coghlan, Debra Rosen and Richard Wells Recognized by NJLJ 2023 New Jersey Legal Awards

Archer is pleased to announce that three of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized for their efforts by the New Jersey Law Journal this year in the publication’s annual awards.*

Maureen Coghlan has been named an “Unsung Hero” honoree, recognized as one of the attorneys whose work done “behind the scenes” distinguishes them as indispensable to the efforts of their firm. Maureen is a complex civil litigation attorney involved in class actions, mass torts, contracts disputes, environmental law, condemnation and eminent domain, and regulatory investigations. Maureen is extremely skilled in presenting cases in federal and appellate courts. She has a great deal of experience working with national or lead counsel from other firms located throughout the country on a diverse range of litigation matters. Maureen is active in the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey in the Women Lawyers and Environmental Law Sections, as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association Federal Practice and Procedure Section.

Debra Rosen has been named a “Mentor” honoree, awarded to those attorneys who dedicate time and effort to be a true mentor to those around them. Debbie focuses her practice on complex environmental and toxic tort litigation and environmental due diligence and compliance, as well as products liability and chemical workplace exposure cases. She is a member of Archer’s Board of Directors, serves as Co-Chair of Archer’s Personnel Committee, is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee, as well as a founding member and Co-Chair for the Archer & Greiner Women Lawyer’s Network. Debbie is also Executive Vice President and Board Member of the Garden State Council, Boy Scouts of America, Board Member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, and a member of the Environment Committee of the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey.

Richard Wells has been named a “New Leader of the Bar” honoree. This award honors younger attorneys who have both notable achievements and outstanding potential in the practice of law. Rich represents commercial and residential clients in the areas of land use, zoning, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance. He has also been significantly involved in the cannabis industry. Rich serves as an Advisory Board Member for the South Jersey Young Professionals, as well as a member of the Camden County Bar Association Young Lawyer Committee. He is also a Board of Trustees member for the Paul Robeson Charter School for the Humanities, and serves as pro-bono counsel for Graceful Hope Charity for Ovarian Cancer Research.
