Stephen A. Pina

Stephen is a trusted advisor and dealmaker who has more than two decades of experience representing artists, creators, and companies across film, television, music, digital media, and live entertainment industries. With a practice that blends deep legal experience with industry insight, Stephen advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters, including development and production deals, talent agreements, option/purchase arrangements, recording and publishing contracts, licensing, intellectual property strategy, and brand partnerships. With a track record of negotiating deals exceeding $30 million, Stephen brings invaluable experience to every stage of a transaction.

Stephen’s music practice includes representing several Grammy Award–nominated and Grammy-winning producers, writers, and artists. In film and television, he has represented Emmy-nominated producers, directors, and filmmakers. Known for a practical, business-minded approach, Stephen is committed to helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving entertainment landscape, protecting their creative rights, maximizing value, and ensuring deals move forward smoothly.

In his sports practice, Stephen made a significant mark which includes his previous representation of dozens of professional basketball players. Stephen also negotiated several seven-figure NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, and provided NIL representation to several college basketball programs. Stephen’s athletic background as a former Division 1 track and field athlete brings a unique perspective to his client representation. He competed at both Penn State University and the University of Florida, where he was a Big 10 Champion in the Long Jump and a five-time All-American. He graduated as an Academic All-American and Academic All-SEC, reflecting his dedication to both academic excellence and athletic achievement. This combination of discipline, focus, and competitive drive informs his approach to client representation across all fields.

Prior to joining Archer, Stephen founded and led the Pina Firm, LLC, a sports and entertainment firm, and was previously a sports agent with U1ST Sports, where he represented over 20 NBA and international players.
