Stephanie J. Zane Elected Treasurer of the American Inns of Court

Archer Partner, Stephanie J. Zane, has been elected as Treasurer of the American Inns of Court, one of the fastest growing legal organizations in the country. There are nearly 400 chartered American Inns of Court in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Tokyo, with more than 35,000 members, including judges, lawyers, law students, and law school faculty actively participating and more than 100,000 alumni members. Ms. Zane will begin her two-year term on July 1st.

Ms. Zane has served on the National Board of Trustees of the American Inns of Court since 2016, and in 2015 served a one-year term as the Chairperson of the American Inns of Court National Programming Committee. Ms. Zane is the first person from New Jersey to ever serve as the Chairperson of the National Programming Committee.

Commenting on her new leadership position within the American Inns, Ms. Zane said, “I appreciate the trust and confidence that my fellow Trustees have shown in me. An executive position on the Board is a tremendous honor to receive from my peers, all of whom practice at the highest and most distinguished level of law.”

The American Inns of Court was founded in 1980 and is dedicated to promoting the highest levels of professionalism in the practice of law. The goal of the American Inns of Court is to promote and communicate a culture of excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and skills within the legal community. It has earned both national and international prestige as an organization that links formal law school education and legal practice by presenting continuing education in the Common Law tradition.

With over 17 years of experience in matrimonial law and family law matters, Ms. Zane focuses her practice on complex matrimonial litigation and represents clients in all aspects of divorce, custody, child support and related issues, and domestic violence litigation.

Appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, Ms. Zane is also presently serving her third three-year term as a member of the State of New Jersey Committee on Character. She is the current Vice President and Master member of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inns of Court. Additionally, Ms. Zane serves as the Chairperson of the Cooper Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Committee, where she is working to integrate the voices of patients and their families into health care operations.
