Archer’s Princeton Office Managing Partner and Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Tax Appeal Group, Jeffrey D. Gordon, was appointed Chair of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) 2023 Annual Conference – Property Tax Committee. Within the property tax field, the IPT’s Annual Conference is one of the year’s most anticipated educational tax programs, and it is an honor to serve as one of the conference chairs.
Jeff focuses his practice on the prosecution of complex real estate tax appeals for the owners of major commercial and industrial properties, ensuring they pay only the amount in property taxes required by law. He obtains tax exemptions for redevelopment projects and handles eminent domain cases. Jeff helps non-profit clients obtain and retain their tax-exempt status and provides solutions that reduce liabilities to local taxing jurisdictions. He has achieved substantial tax savings for hundreds of corporate, business and residential clients, handling the litigation for all types of commercial, residential, industrial, and special property.
Jeff holds or has held positions as a Certified Tax Assessor, Chairman of the Taxation Section of the New Jersey Bar Association, Chairman of the State Bar’s Property Tax Committee, IPT member, Affiliate Member of the Appraisal Institute, and a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court. He is a former New Jersey Tax Court law clerk.
