Archer partner Frank D. Allen has received the prestigious New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) 2022 Gerald B. O’Connor Award. Frank was honored by the NJAJ at their Winter Seminar and Awards Dinner on February 24th at The Palace at Somerset Park. The award was created to honor the memory of the legendary trial lawyer Gerald B. O’Connor, who excelled in advocacy, professionalism, and in the respect of his peers.
Frank has had a stellar legal career as a trial lawyer, with more than 30 years’ trial experience in state and federal courts, including numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients. The breadth of his substantive knowledge of the law, and many engineering and medical principles is outstanding.
Frank has focused his practice on representing individuals who have suffered death or life-changing injuries from medical or drug errors, defective products or crashes of trucks, boats, cars and aircraft. Frank had the largest plaintiff’s medical malpractice verdict in South Jersey history of over $20 million.
While his practice focuses on representing families in tragic situations, he has handled defense work for corporate clients. He has tried to successful verdicts defense of commercial and environmental cases.
Frank is greatly admired and respected by peers, colleagues, adversaries and judges as the ultimate trial lawyer. He brings not only legal skills, but the empathy, compassion and wisdom required to help families and companies in dealing with catastrophic situations.
Frank is recognized by the American College of Trial Lawyers for a career of trial excellence that spans over four decades. He previously served as the Chairman for the New Jersey Chapter of the College. Admission to The College, a national organization, is by invitation only. Membership is limited to 1% of the lawyers in any state.
