Attorney Debra Rosen Named VP of Legal For Garden State Council, Boy Scouts of AmericaAttorney Debra S. Rosen has been named Vice President, Legal for the Garden State Council, Boy Scouts of America, and will serve on the Council’s Executive Committee and as an Executive Board member. Ms. Rosen will advise the Garden State Council leadership on all legal matters that may arise.

As of January 1, 2013, Burlington County Council merged with the Southern New Jersey Council and now serves Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland and Cape May counties, as well as parts of Atlantic County, forming the Garden State Council. The new Council is the largest provider of youth services in southern New Jersey, providing program opportunities for more than 10,000 youth. The Council provides Scouting programs including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing in five Districts and provides training and camping opportunities at four facilities including the Pine Tree Environmental & Education Center and the Leave No Trace Facility, both in Burlington County; Camp Roosevelt in Salem County; and Pine Hill Scout Reservation in Camden County.

Ms. Rosen has also been selected to receive the Council’s highest honorary award. The Silver Beaver Award is the highest form of recognition that a local council can award to adult volunteers for service to youth. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service to the council. This award is given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.

Ms. Rosen, a Partner with Archer P.C., in Haddonfield, concentrates her practice in the area of complex environmental litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of groundwater contamination cases involving claims for both property damage and serious personal injury. She has been an attorney with Archer since 1986 and became a shareholder of the firm in 1994.
