Andrew J. Cevasco Elected Second Vice President of Bergen County Bar Association

Andrew J. Cevasco, a Partner in Archer’s Hackensack office, has recently been installed as Second Vice President of the Bergen County Bar Association (BCBA), now one of the country’s largest county bar associations with over 2,000 members. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Association’s Professionalism Committee, Co-Chair of the Estate Planning Probate Committee, and is a member of the General Equity Committee.

Bergen County Superior Court Judge Bonnie J. Mizdol administered the oath of office to Mr. Cevasco and his fellow Officers at the Association’s April 14th Annual Meeting, held at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights. The election is by the general membership, after nomination through the nominating committee. Mr. Cevasco will serve his term through 2017.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cevasco has demonstrated dedication to public service, including his recent work on the N.J. Supreme Court Committee on Character, which reviews applications for admission to the New Jersey Bar, and past service on the N.J. Supreme Court District 2B Ethics Committee. He served on the Board of Trustees for the BCBA from 2005 – 2014, at which point he was elected as an officer.

Mr. Cevasco has handled a broad array of legal matters over his 35-year career ranging from transactional matters to a variety of trials in both the Law and Chancery Divisions of the N.J. Superior Court for business and individual clients. He counsels clients regarding the planning and administration of estates and trusts, drafting wills and trusts to meet a variety of needs. He lectures frequently in this area of practice and is an experienced estate and trust litigator. He also provides a broad range of services to the firm’s commercial clients, including business planning, business formation and dissolution, employment and contract issues, and real estate matters.

Mr. Cevasco is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell. He is listed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a mediator and mentor on its Roster of Mediators, and also serves as an arbitrator in the New Jersey Superior Court, Bergen County.
