William P. Isele to Speak at NJICLE Elder Law, End of Life Seminar

Elder law attorney William P. Isele of Archer P.C. in Princeton will be one of four speakers at an upcoming elder law, “End of Life” Seminar presented by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE).

Mr. Isele will address seminar attendees on the topic of “Need for change in the law: the Betancourt case” and “Statutory law in New Jersey now: medical POAs, health care proxies, living wills, and POLST in the future”. The seminar will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. The seminar is approved for continuing education credits for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

Mr. Isele counsels and represents a wide range of health care entities, from individual practitioners to hospitals, long-term care facilities and hospice providers, as well as individuals and families faced with the challenge of planning for long-term care and competent, compassionate end-of-life care. He served from 1999 to 2007 as New Jersey’s Ombudsman for the Institutionalized Elderly, leading the state government office that investigates allegations of abuse and neglect of people 60 and older living in nursing homes and other long-term health care facilities.
