William P. Isele Elected Vice Chair of N.J. State Bar Association Elder Law Section

Attorney William P. Isele of Archer PC in Princeton, N.J., has been elected Vice Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Elder and Disability Law Section. He was sworn in to the position on Thursday, May 19, 2011, during the NJSBA’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City.

The Elder and Disability Law Section reviews, comments on and disseminates information about legal issues of vital importance to the elderly, their families and caregivers. The Section works to advance the NJSBA’s mission of providing continuing education for lawyers and the public, reforming and improving the legal system, and aiding in the administration of justice.

Mr. Isele counsels and represents a wide range of health care entities, from individual practitioners to hospitals, long-term care facilities and hospice providers, as well as individuals and families faced with the challenge of planning for long-term care and competent, compassionate end-of-life care. His more than 33 years’ experience in health care and elder law includes eight years as New Jersey’s Ombudsman for the Institutionalized Elderly, leading the state government office that investigates allegations of abuse and neglect of people 60 and older living in nursing homes and other long-term health care facilities. Mr. Isele was Chair of the NJSBA’s Health & Hospital Law Section from 1989-1991. He was also awarded the NJSBA’s legislative service award in 2009.
