William J. Thompson, Esquire, Co-Chair of the Family Law Department at Archer, recently received the Honorable Joseph F. Nardi, Jr. Award from the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inn of Court. The Inn is a consortium of family law judges, attorneys and legal academics organized to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar. The Nardi Award is the most prestigious award presented by the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inn of Court, as it honors a member of the South Jersey Family Law community whose commitment to the practice of law encourages and exemplifies civility, humility, compassion, and a moral and ethical obligation to the welfare of children and families. Recipients are also recognized for their participation in continuing legal education, and a willingness to act as an advisor and mentor to new attorneys.
Mr. Thompson was presented with this award by the Hon. Marie Lihotz, P.J.A.D. at the annual banquet of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Inn of Court, held on June 21st at Aldo Lamberti’s in Cherry Hill.
Mr. Thompson is a Shareholder in the firm’s Haddonfield office and focuses his practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, adoption, parental rights, custody, support, and domestic violence. He is a past President of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inn of Court.
In addition, Mr. Thompson has served as an editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer, Co-Chair of the Camden County Family Law Committee, and was elected to serve as Chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Section. He is a past recipient of the Camden County Bar Association’s Professional Lawyer of the Year award. He is also a frequent lecturer for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the Camden County Bar Association.
