Frances McElhill, a Partner in Archer’s Haddonfield office, was recently honored by the United Way as the 2016 Volunteer of the Year in Camden County. The award honors the individual who has proven to be an invaluable community leader and volunteer who has devoted their time and expertise to strengthening communities within South Jersey and throughout the region. The United Way held their Community Awards Celebration on May 24th at TD University in Mount Laurel, where they presented Ms. McElhill with the award.
Ms. McElhill currently co-chairs the Burlington-Camden Local Board of United Way and serves on United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Regional Board of Directors, as well as its Impact Strategy Committee and Human Resources Committee. She has played a key role in guiding the South Jersey Leadership Council to ensure collaboration and success among the Local Boards and communities in South Jersey.
Ms. McElhill has more than 30 years of experience representing nonprofit corporations, including public charities, private foundations, schools and hospitals, for which she provides counsel and representation in a broad range of corporate, finance and tax matters. In addition, she serves on a number of regional and local nonprofit corporate boards and she is an author and frequent speaker on topics of interest in the nonprofit community.
