Archer partner Tiffany Donio was installed as Chair of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association at the Tax Section’s annual meeting on May 18th. Tiffany will serve a one-year term. A longtime Section member, Tiffany previously served as First Vice Chair and Chair-Elect.
The Taxation Law Section studies and disseminates information on developments in tax law, and provides a forum for discussion of tax policy issues by professionals and elected/appointed officials. The New Jersey State Bar Association, with more than 18,000 members, serves as the voice of New Jersey attorneys. The organization fosters professionalism and personal development, provides educational programs and materials to lawyers and the public, promotes access to and fairness in the justice system, and facilitates participation in pro bono activities.
In her practice, Tiffany counsels emerging and established businesses and their principals on the corporate and tax issues they encounter through every stage of their business life cycle, including with respect to entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, securities offerings, joint ventures, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
Tiffany provides planning and compliance advice on a wide variety of federal, state and local tax issues involving income, employee benefits, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts and other miscellaneous taxes. In addition, she has represented clients during federal, state and local tax controversies at the audit, administrative and judicial levels.
Tiffany also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners South Jersey Chapter. She is a Founder and Event Committee Member of Kelsey’s Kaleidoscope, Inc.: A New View for PAN.
