Thomas Muccifori Named Chair of Burlington County Bar’s CLE Committee

Attorney to Lead Continuing Education Efforts
As Bar Association Prepares for Supreme Court Mandates

Sept. 9, 2008

Attorney Thomas A. Muccifori has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Continuing Legal Education (C.L.E.) Committee of the Burlington County Bar Association, as the organization and attorneys statewide prepare for the New Jersey Supreme Court to implement mandatory CLE.

As Chair, Muccifori will coordinate scheduling and implementation of CLE programs for the 900-member association, which sponsors educational, professional, charitable and social programs and activities.

A Supreme Court-appointed committee earlier this year recommended all 83,000 New Jersey-licensed lawyers, including in-house counsel and judges, be required to take 24 credits of course work (50 minutes of instruction per credit) every two years, with extra credit for teaching courses. Supreme Court justices are to hold a hearing and formally rule on the proposal after a public comment period ends Sept. 15.

Muccifori, of Moorestown, N.J., is Chair of the Employment Competition and Information Protection Practice Group at Archer, P.C., in Haddonfield. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation of business disputes of all types, including chancery practice, commercial collections and consumer litigation, trade secrets, restrictive covenants and inevitable disclosure claims, and a variety of other labor and employment issues, including public sector labor law.

Archer, P.C., is a full-service law firm with more than 150 lawyers in six offices serving Fortune 100 clients, small to medium-sized businesses and individuals for more than 75 years.
