Archer attorney, Reginald L. Streater, was recently appointed to the 2019-2020 Executive Board of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, Inc. The Association’s Installation of Executive and Advisory Board Members will take place September 11 at Philadelphia City Hall. An affiliate of the National Bar Association, the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia helps address the professional needs and development of Black lawyers in the City of Philadelphia and surrounding areas through programs such as seminars, cultural events and publications.
Among the Association’s goals is to use the members’ skills and training to educate the community and assist those who cannot afford to pay for services. Recognizing the importance of future generations, the Association aims to be a tangible resource, both visible and accessible, to students interested in the legal profession.
Mr. Streater focuses his practice on commercial and complex litigation. His clients range from individuals and small businesses, to large corporations and public entities. Mr. Streater handles a variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, federal claims, federal civil rights claims, insurance matters, labor and employment claims, fraud claims, and tort claims in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Mr. Streater is an Executive Committee Member of the Temple Law Alumni Association. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ACLU of Pennsylvania. Mr. Streater is a Fellow and Alumnus of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group and a Keeper and Connector Fellow and Alumnus of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia.
