Archer Partner, Lloyd Freeman, has been selected as one of the National Bar Association’s (NBA) “40 Under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” for 2018. The award honors the nation’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement in the legal field, including in advocacy, innovation, vision, leadership and overall legal and community involvement. Mr. Freeman is being recognized for his contributions to help advance the causes of justice, equality, professionalism and community service. The recipients will be honored at the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Awards Gala on August 1, during the NBA’s Annual Convention in New Orleans.
The National Bar Association is the nation’s oldest and largest national association of predominantly African-American lawyers, judges, educators and law students. It has 84 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and represents a professional network of more than 60,000 members. Its New Jersey affiliate chapter is the Garden State Bar Association (GSBA). Mr. Freeman served as President of the GSBA for its 2017-2018 year, during which time he developed relevant programming and encouraged dedicated mentoring and advocacy to foster diversity and inclusion within the profession and the advancement of minorities throughout the state.
Mr. Freeman exemplifies the characteristics and leadership qualities that are intricate to the National Bar Association, as well as to his many roles in civic and charitable causes throughout the region. When he has been asked about his continued efforts to help others, he has always said he believes it is everyone’s responsibility to reach back and help pull others forward.
Mr. Freeman represents clients in commercial and complex civil litigation matters, including, but not limited to, consumer fraud, real property, franchise, business torts, and other issues related to business and contractual disputes.
