Kimberly A. Capadona Talks to Seton Hall Grads About Life After Graduation

Archer Partner, Kimberly A. Capadona, was one of this year’s speakers at Seton Hall University’s 2018 Commencement, held on May 21 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Ms. Capadona is a member of the Seton Hall University Board of Regents, President of Seton Hall University Alumni Board of Directors, and serves in the Mentorship Program of the Seton Hall University Student Alumni Association.

Speaking before an audience of 6,000, which included 1,320 graduates receiving baccalaureate degrees, Ms. Capadona explained to the University’s graduating class that they do not have to let their Seton Hall experience end at graduation. She spoke about how she went on to Seton Hall University School of Law after graduation, met her husband at the School of Law, married at the chapel on the Seton Hall campus, and later baptized her son at the same chapel. Ms. Capadona discussed the Seton Hall Pirate alumni network of over 100,000 people, and invited the graduates to attend the alumni events and remain engaged with their alma mater.

In addition to her role as a speaker at the Seton Hall University Commencement, Ms. Capadona also took part in the Seton Hall Law School Commencement on May 24 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ, where she conferred the degrees upon the Master of Laws and Master of Science of Jurisprudence graduates on behalf of the Board of Regents.

Ms. Capadona focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law and labor relations. Her broad range of experience includes nationwide representation of employers in wage and hour matters, injunctions, and employment discrimination claims involving sex, race, age, religion, handicap and sexual orientation. She regularly provides defense against actions for wrongful discharge, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, violation of family leave, whistleblower and related torts. Ms. Capadona received both her Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University.
