John P. Kahn, an Associate with Archer’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, was recently appointed to the New Jersey State Bar Association (“NJSBA”) Diversity Committee by NJSBA President Kevin P. McCann.
The NJSBA Diversity Committee’s goal is to promote participation in bar-related activities by those lawyers and lawyer groups that have not previously participated significantly in such activities, including minorities, women, younger lawyers, government lawyers, in-house counsel, physically challenged and other similarly situated lawyers or lawyer groups.
The Diversity Committee nurtures diversity through a variety of initiatives, including fostering relationships with specialty bar associations and all Association sections and committees; organizing educational and social programming; and monitoring and fostering inclusiveness in the continuing activities, programs and projects of the Association and its related organizations, such as the New Jersey State Bar Foundation.
Mr. Kahn is active in promoting diversity in the legal profession as a Regional Director and Board Member of the Garden State Bar Association. He concentrates his practice in the defense of civil rights claims, class action litigation, health care fraud and abuse claims, and claims arising under employment and health care plans in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
