John C. Connell Appointed to Supreme Court Committee on Evidence

John C. Connell, a Partner/Shareholder in the Haddonfield, N.J., office of the law firm of Archer, P.C., has been appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Rules of Evidence.

Connell, of Haddonfield, was appointed last month to a term that runs through Aug. 31, 2009. He focuses his practice on complex civil commercial litigation, with concentrated experience in the areas of media and communications law, intellectual property, employment and civil rights law, health care law, and appellate advocacy.

The Committee on the Rules of Evidence has the task of recommending to the Court (a) amendments and additions to the Rules of Court, (b) policy statements (with respect to rules), and (c) suggestions for new legislation and statutory amendment as related to practice before the courts. The Court relies on the committee to provide well-reasoned, expert advice on matters within its general area of knowledge and responsibility.
