Jeffrey M. Scott Wins Jury Verdict for the City of Philadelphia

Jeffrey M. Scott of Archer’s Philadelphia office successfully represented the City of Philadelphia in a federal court trial, securing a verdict on July 20, 2012, in which the jury ruled in favor of the City and individual employees of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services.

The jury rejected as unfounded the plaintiff’s claims that the employees targeted his home as part of a conspiracy to improperly single out elderly residents for code violation allegations in order to steal from their homes. Kerri E. Chewning of the firm’s Haddonfield office served as co-counsel.

The verdict was covered in a Philadelphia Inquirer article on July 23, 2012.
