Jeffrey M. Gradone, a Partner in the Princeton, N.J., office of Archer P.C., has been elected Secretary of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA).
The Taxation Law Section studies and disseminates information on developments in tax law, and provides a forum for discussion of tax policy issues by professionals and elected and appointed officials.
The NJSBA, with more than 17,500 members, serves as the voice of New Jersey attorney. The organization fosters professionalism and personal development, provides educational programs and materials to lawyers and the public, promotes access to and fairness in the justice system, and facilitates participation in pro bono activities.
Mr. Gradone, a Princeton resident, serves as Co-Chair of the NJSBA Property Tax Committee and as an Executive Committee member of the Tax Law Section. He received the NJSBA’s 2011 Distinguished Legislative Service Award for his key role in developing the NJSBA’s positions on tax-related legislation.
Mr. Gradone prosecutes complex property tax appeals in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and other Mid-Atlantic and New England states. He advises clients regarding property tax issues and liabilities, and pursues property tax exemptions, abatements, and other incentives for real estate development projects. Mr. Gradone also handles a variety of complex condemnation matters on behalf of property owners and lenders.
