Family & Matrimonial Law Attorney Stephanie J. Zane Named to N.J. Supreme Court Committee on Character

The Supreme Court of New Jersey has appointed family and matrimonial law attorney Stephanie J. Zane to the Court’s Committee on Character, which examines the personal records and reputations of candidates for admission to the New Jersey bar.

A Senior Associate in the Haddonfield office of Archer, P.C., Zane was appointed to a three-year term that runs through June 30, 2012.

The Committee on Character reviews personal information of each candidate for the New Jersey bar and determines his or her fitness to practice law, “thereby to promote the public interest and to protect the integrity of the legal profession,” according to the Court’s regulations. Following the review, the Committee certifies the candidate’s fitness to the Supreme Court, or recommends withholding certification.

Zane, of Cherry Hill, has extensive experience in complex matrimonial litigation. Her practice is focused on addressing all aspects of divorce, custody, child support and related issues, as well as domestic violence litigation.

Zane is also trained as a mediator. She is a Barrister member of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law American Inns of Court, whose mission is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics and legal skills for judges, lawyers and law students.
