2026 ABA-IPT Advanced Tax Seminars

Archer partners Alex Genato and Jeffrey Gordon will serve as speakers at the ABA and IPT 2026 Advanced Tax Seminars. Attorneys, accountants, tax officials, and others interested in gaining a greater professional knowledge of managing the country’s increasing tax burden are encouraged to attend.

Alex will be a speaker for the session “Hot Topics in Property Tax: A Nationwide Survey.” Attendees will be brought up to date on the latest property tax developments in legislative, administrative and practice areas. Speakers will cover how these developments are causing valuation issues, exemptions issues and constitutional challenges.

Jeffrey, a member of the advanced property tax seminar committee, will be presenting the program “Pulling Back the Veil: Reassessing the Marshall & Swift Commercial Properties Depreciation Table and the Iowa Survivor Curves.” Panelist will discuss the history, lack of transparency, and weakness in the models that caused the lower depreciation and higher values than authorities appraisal techniques in the data from the Marshall and Swift and the Iowa survivor curves.
