Jeffrey Gordon to Chair State Bar Tax Law Section

Jeffrey D. Gordon of Archer, P.C., was installed as Chair of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) on May 20, 2010.

The Section educates its members, other professionals, and the public regarding federal, state and local property tax law and enhances the quality of legal services provided by New Jersey attorneys. It also serves as the voice of New Jersey attorneys on tax-related issues.

A longtime member of the Taxation Law Section’s Executive Committee, Mr. Gordon served as a Section officer for the past three years. Previously, he was the Chair of the Real Property Tax Committee.

Mr. Gordon, of Ewing, is based in Archer’s Princeton office and serves as Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Tax Appeal Group and Co-Chair of its Condemnation & Eminent Domain Group. A former Tax Court law clerk, his practice involves handling complex commercial and industrial property tax appeals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and other East Coast states. He also handles state tax matters and condemnation actions.

Mr. Gordon is a former Certified Tax Assessor and a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court.
