Deborah Hays Recognized as “Woman of Distinction” by Philadelphia Business Journal

Attorney Deborah Hays of Archer has been named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s prestigious 2012 “Women of Distinction” list in recognition of her professional accomplishments, community service and advocacy for women.

Ms. Hays, a Partner in Archer’s Corporate Department in the Firm’s Haddonfield, N.J., headquarters, is recognized and profiled in the Nov. 23 issue of the Business Journal along with other prominent Philadelphia area businesswomen. Her profile can be read online here.

The honorees will be recognized at a dinner ceremony on Nov. 27 at the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia Hotel.

Ms. Hays, an attorney with Archer for 25 years, concentrates her practice in business financing, securities offerings and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, e-commerce, director advisory services, and technology transfer and licensing. She is also sought after for her strategic planning abilities for high-tech and emerging growth companies. She has more than 20 years’ experience representing established companies and financial institutions, from small, local businesses to large corporations (both privately-held and public), as well as start-up and development stage enterprises. She routinely handles transactions exceeding $100 million in value.

Ms. Hays serves as Chair of Archer’s Finance Committee, the first female to hold the post. She is also the first woman to serve as General Counsel to the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey and the first female to serve as Chair of the Board of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey, which she helped found. She currently holds both positions.
