Carlos Bollar Installed as President-Elect of the Hispanic National Bar Association

Archer partner Carlos M. Bollar was recently installed as the President-Elect of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). Carlos was sworn into office during a virtual ceremony by the Honorable Lourdes Santiago on September 28. The HNBA is the nonprofit, nonpartisan, national bar organization that represents the interests of Hispanic attorneys, judges, law students and other legal professionals in the United States.

Carlos has been a deeply committed member of the HNBA, serving in various Board positions over the years. He previously served as the HNBA’s National Finance Director. Prior to that, he served as the Regional President for Region III. In 2018, the HNBA honored Carlos with the Latino Lawyer of the Year Award. In addition to his position on the HNBA’s Executive Committee, Carlos is also the past president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. Carlos serves on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey State Bar Association.

In his practice, Carlos represents clients in complex toxic tort, product liability and environmental litigation matters. He has over 20 years of experience handling environmental litigation cases in all of the contexts in which they arise, including single plaintiff cases, mass actions involving hundreds of plaintiffs, class actions and defending clients against state and federal government.

Carlos is a frequent presenter on topics regarding diversity in the legal profession and issues affecting the Hispanic business community. In 2020, Carlos was honored by the multi-platform news media organization Al Día as one of the top attorneys in the Philadelphia region. In 2019, he was named to the Nation’s Best List by Lawyers of Color. Past honors also included being named the 2017 Professional Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law, as well as being named as one of the 55 Most Influential Latinos in New Jersey by the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey, and being included on the New Jersey Law Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list.
