We are pleased to congratulate Archer partner Bill Caruso on receiving the NJ Cannabis Insider 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award. This well-deserved honor is a tribute to Bill who remains one of the leading advocates and influencers for the cannabis industry, and an influential voice in New Jersey’s long battle to end cannabis prohibition.
Bill was honored at NJ Cannabis Insider’s first-ever cannabis awards gala on June 9th at the Carteret Performing Arts Center. The awards gala included a Who’s Who of established and up-and-coming cast of power players in the cannabis industry, who celebrated all the honorees and their achievements over the last 12 months.
Bill chairs Archer’s Cannabis Group and serves as managing director of Archer Public Affairs. He is also a co-founder of New Jersey United for Marijuana Reform, a group that laid the groundwork for the legalization movement. And he was a leader with the advocacy group, NJ CAN 2020, that spearheaded the November 2020 ballot initiative to legalize cannabis for personal use.
In his practice, Bill represents clients that are both veterans and new leaders in the medical and adult-use cannabis industries, including retailers, processors, growers and ancillary businesses. Bill provides guidance on marijuana-related business issues, including issues pertaining to strategic planning and transactions, banking and finance, taxation, labor and employment, land use and zoning, real estate, municipal law, and healthcare law.
