“Best Lawyers in America 2009” Names Nine from Archer

The Best Lawyers in America 2009 peer-review referral guide has named nine attorneys from Archer, P.C., as leaders in their fields of legal expertise, including four who have made the list for at least 10 years.

Topping the list for 2009 is Lee M. Hymerling, a Partner in Archer’s Haddonfield office, recognized by Best Lawyers in the practice area of Family Law for the past 25 years. Widely acknowledged as a standard-bearer in the development of family law in New Jersey, Hymerling concentrates his practice on marital, custody and other family law matters.

Frank R. Demmerly, Trusts & Estates ( 10 years) — Chair of Archer’s Estate & Trust Services Department, Demmerly has more than three decades’ experience in estate planning, planning for closely-held and family businesses, estate administration and estate, gift and transfer taxation.

Christopher R. Gibson, Environmental Law — Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and Environmental Law Practice Group, Gibson has litigated a variety of commercial, employment, construction and personal injury cases, and is best known as one of New Jersey’s leading environmental litigators.

Ellis I. Medoway, Insurance Law — Chair of Archer’s Insurance Law Practice Group, Medoway has successfully litigated several groundbreaking insurance coverage cases in New Jersey, including the leading case on the “absolute” pollution exclusion in insurance policies.

Steven K. Mignogna, Trusts & Estates — Chair of the firm’s Estate & Trust Litigation Practice Group, Mignogna specializes in commercial litigation with a concentration on probate matters, estates, fiduciaries, guardianships and real estate, representing both institutions and individuals.

William J. Thompson, Family Law — Chair of Archer’s Family & Matrimonial Services Department, Thompson focuses his practice in all aspects of family law, including divorce, adoption, parental rights, custody, support and domestic violence.

Lloyd H. Tubman, Environmental Law, Land Use & Zoning Law — The negotiator and author of the New Jersey Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act, Tubman concentrates her practice in zoning approvals and federal and state environmental compliance, with broad development planning and regulatory enforcement experience, particularly with respect to wetlands, water quality, flood hazard areas and utilities.

All nine honorees are Partners in Haddonfield office, with the exception of Tubman, a Partner based in the firm’s office in Flemington.
