Chad Warnken is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use groups. He received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1992, where he received a B.A. in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1995. Upon graduation Mr. Warnken served as a law clerk to the Hon. Milton Gelzer, J.S.C. in Monmouth County. He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1995 and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Land Use Section.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Warnken had represented numerous developers and spent 10 years as General Counsel for H. Hovnanian Industries, where his practice was focused on real estate development, commercial real estate transactional work as well as general corporate matters. His real estate development experience includes representing developers in obtaining local and state development permits and approvals for both commercial and residential projects, such as site plan and subdivision approvals, environmental permitting for wetlands and CAFRA and overseeing environmental cleanups. It also includes undertaking due diligence analysis for site acquisitions, redevelopment, the preparation of developer and utility infrastructure agreements as well as construction contracts. Mr. Warnken’s real estate transactional experience has been focused on commercial leasing, commercial contracts and acquisitions. His corporate experience includes corporate counseling and general contract work.
