Alex Thompson is an Associate in Archer’s Construction & Real Estate Practice Group. Alex focuses his practice on matters regarding construction defect claims, architectural and engineering professional negligence claims, payment disputes and lien claims, and product defect claims.
Prior to joining Archer, Alex served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jack M. Sabatino, Presiding Judge for the New Jersey Appellate Division in Trenton, NJ. Alex earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Camden, where he was a member of the Rutgers Law Review and served as the State Constitutional Law editor, in addition to serving as a class representative for the Student Bar Association, and treasurer for the Environmental Law Society. Alex received the Pro Bono Award for exceptional service and the Labor and Employment Award for excellence in the field.
While at Rutgers Law School, Alex was an intern for the Domestic Violence Clinic in Camden, NJ, where he represented alleged victims of domestic violence. He also served as an intern for the Honorable Theodore McKee, U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit in Philadelphia, PA, as well as for the Honorable Jerome B. Simandle, U.S.D.C., District of New Jersey. In 2018, Alex was a summer associate with Archer.
