Allen G. Kadish Elected to American Bankruptcy Institute’s Board of Directors

The American Bankruptcy Institute announced that Allen G. Kadish has been elected to ABI’s Board of Directors. Allen is a partner in Archer & Greiner’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Insolvency Litigation Group, resident in the firm’s New York office. An ABI member since 2003, Allen has served on ABI’s Diversity & Inclusion Working Group since having been an inaugural member in 2019, and on the 40 Under 40 Steering Committee in 2021 and 2022. He will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.

Allen is nationally recognized as a leading lawyer in the practice of financial restructuring and bankruptcy.  He focuses in the areas of corporate crisis management, complex transactions, Chapter 11 restructurings, workouts, creditors’ rights, business law and business litigation. Allen is a qualified mediator, certified by the American Bankruptcy Institute/St. John’s University School of Law, and he is an approved mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

ABI is the largest multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. ABI was founded in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with unbiased analysis of bankruptcy issues. The ABI membership includes nearly 10,000 attorneys, accountants, bankers, judges, professors, lenders, turnaround specialists and other bankruptcy professionals, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information.

Also an active member and board member of the Turnaround Management Association, Allen was honored with the 2022 TMA Chair’s Award recognizing his commitment to raising the public profile of the corporate restructuring industry through his volunteer service.
