Real Estate
The Real Estate Department services a broad range of clients, including national, regional and local office, retail industrial and residential developers, home builders, brokers, investors and other types of industrial and commercial ventures throughout New Jersey and the Delaware Valley. The Department also has a strong real estate lending practice, representing both borrowers and lenders, including national and local banks, savings associations, credit unions, mortgage companies, insurance companies, REITs and other public and private lenders, in connection with all types of financing and joint development transactions.
The Department represents local, regional and national builders and developers in all aspects of residential, commercial and industrial transactions. It also represents all types of commercial and business ventures throughout the Delaware Valley in real estate acquisitions, sales and financing transactions. It services the local real estate needs of one of the nation's largest owner/operators of regional shopping malls.
The Department counsels chemical, petroleum, industrial and lending clients in all aspects of environmental issues related to real estate and finance transactions. Attorneys in the Department have written and lectured extensively in these areas and have developed documentation addressing these important concerns for all types of transactions.
In addition to the transactional matters handled by attorneys in the Department, a number of attorneys in the Department spend most of their time on land use and environmental permitting issues, and all of the attorneys in the Department deal with those issues in their day to day practice.
Most of the transactional attorneys in the Department are members of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar and actively practice in both states. All attorneys in the Department are active in various business, civic and professional organizations focused on the real estate industry and are well attuned to the legal and business issues of importance to our clients.
