Jill Bellak Named to Board of Directors of JEVS Human Services Agency
Attorney Jill M. Bellak has been appointed to the Board of Directors of JEVS Human Services, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that provides an array of community-based programs for individuals and families in need.
JEVS Human Services has served approximately 21,000 individuals this year with programs designed to enhance the employability, independence and quality of life of its clients. Programs include skills development, job readiness and career services, vocational rehabilitation, recovery services, adult and residential day services, and in-home personal assistance. The organization focuses on assisting individuals with physical, developmental, and emotional challenges, as well as those facing adverse socio-economic conditions, including unemployment and underemployment.
Founded in 1941 as Jewish Employment and Vocational Service, the organization was established to help Jewish refugees adjust to life in Philadelphia. Today, JEVS Human Services serves a diverse client base and has grown into one of the largest, private nonprofit organizations in the Delaware Valley.
A Philadelphia native, Ms. Bellak is a Partner in the Philadelphia office of Archer & Greiner, P.C. She lives in Dresher, Pa., where she recently served on the Board of Directors and the Nominating and Governance Committee of Temple Sinai.
