Chambers Guide Ranks Archer Among The Best – Again

Chambers and Partners, publisher of leading guides to the legal profession worldwide, has once again ranked Archer P.C. and several of the firm’s attorneys among the best in their fields in Chambers USA 2017 – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Based on extensive research, including interviews with lawyers and their clients, Chambers identifies and ranks the world’s finest lawyers: those who perform best according to the criteria most valued by clients – such as technical expertise, business acumen, prompt delivery and value.

In addition to listing the firm as a whole, Chambers USA 2017 recognizes in particular Archer’s Environmental practice and several lawyers in that group. The listings can be found here.

Chambers ranks Archer’s Environmental Practice among the very best in New Jersey, listing the firm in “Band 1” – the highest level – in that area of law. The guide notes the firm’s “highly knowledgeable” lawyers, adding: “It’s an excellent firm and an outstanding team.” Another source comments: “They are very skilled in litigation and environmental matters.”

In addition, Chambers recognizes and highly ranks the following Archer environmental attorneys:

Christopher Gibson, President of Archer and Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, is regarded as an “excellent litigator” who “understands and appreciates business impacts,” interviewees attest. Gibson is noted for his expertise in natural resource damage claims and counts government agencies and major chemical companies among his impressive roster of clients.

Marc Rollo, who heads Archer’s Environmental Practice Group, is praised by a Chambers interviewee as  “superb.” He is an experienced litigator highlighted for his strengths in cleanup reimbursement and state fund claims.

Rising star David Edelstein is sought after for his strengths in cost recovery claims and regularly litigates at state and federal courts. He draws particular praise for his writing skills and is also singled out by one impressed peer, who comments: “He is very knowledgeable, bright and handles himself well – he does solid work in court.”

Chambers also recognizes Archer’s Stephen M. Packman in their bankruptcy/restructuring category.  Mr. Packman serves as Chair of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Insolvency Litigation Group at Archer and is also co-Chair of the International Law Group.
