Archer & Greiner is seeking a litigation associate for its Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Insolvency Litigation Group in its Wilmington, Delaware office. Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials and experience in Federal Bankruptcy Court.  Our practice provides sophisticated counsel to domestic and foreign clients in all types of insolvency and litigation matters, including out of court workouts, forbearance agreements, assignments for creditors, receiverships, bankruptcy planning and preparation, pre-packs, motion practice, adversary proceedings, plan formulation, pre and post-confirmation matters, bankruptcy sales, trials, appeals and other matters listed on our website at http://www.archerlaw.com/legal-services/. DE Bar admission and litigation experience required, and NJ Bar admission and litigation experience preferred. All candidates must have excellent communication skills, must be self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently, and possess superior academic credentials.  Ideal candidates will also have the following qualifications.

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience as an attorney in a bankruptcy debtor/creditor litigation practice
  • Experience with all pre-trial phases of litigation, including
    • all aspects of pre-trial discovery and motion practice,
    • some first-chair experience handling depositions and court appearances
  • Superior research skills
  • Excellent writing, drafting and case analysis skills
  • Delaware state court litigation/chancery experience preferred.

Litigation Associate – Hackensack NJ Office

Archer & Greiner is seeking two Litigation attorneys for its Hackensack, NJ office.  Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials and pre-trial experience in business litigation or other complex matters.  Our business litigation practice in both state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York includes matters across a wide variety of subject areas and specialties which are listed on our website at http://www.archerlaw.com/legal-services/.  Our diverse client base includes local, national and international clients in a broad range of businesses and industries, including information/technology, construction, petroleum, utility, healthcare, food, and manufacturing.  NJ Bar admission and litigation experience required, and NY Bar admission and litigation experience preferred   All candidates must have excellent communication skills, must be self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently, and possess superior academic credentials.  Ideal candidates will also have the following qualifications.

Junior Position

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a litigation attorney in business/commercial litigation of a non-routine nature or other complex matters
  • Experience with all pre-trial phases of litigation, including
    • all aspects of pre-trial discovery and motion practice,
    • some first-chair experience handling depositions and court appearances
  • Superior research skills
  • Excellent writing, drafting and case analysis skills

Senior Position

  • 6 to 10 years’ experience as a litigation attorney business litigation of a non-routine nature or other complex matters
  • Experience with all pre-trial phases of litigation, including
    • all aspects of pre-trial discovery and motion practice,
    • significant first-chair experience handling depositions and court appearances
  • Excellent writing, drafting and case analysis skills
  • Some first chair trial experience is desirable, but not required
