Biography:

ED KELLEHER concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation in the state and federal courts. He has significant experience litigating cases in the areas of contract, collection, restrictive employment covenants, duty of loyalty, non-disclosure, Uniform Trade Secrets Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, identity theft, lemon law, breach of warranty, motor vehicle sales and repair issues, consumer fraud, RICO, real estate and mortgage fraud, class action, business torts, fraudulent transfers, auto & GGL insurance coverage, landscaping and home improvement contractor registration, equipment leases, commissions, enforcement of foreign judgments, construction liens, wage garnishments, bank levies, post-judgment execution and Uniform Commercial Code issues.

Ed has handled cases that involve complex legal issues and significant amounts in controversy as well as more routine commercial and consumer disputes in a wide range of areas. Examples include:

* prosecuting and defending equipment lease cases including issues of repossession, liquidated damages, and other related issues under Article 2A of the Uniform Commercial Code
* handling collection of a judgment that exceeded $200,000 and collecting the entire judgment amount, including use of bank account levies, post-judgment discovery and similar execution methods
* defending restrictive employment covenant case in which temporary restraints were successfully lifted paving the way for a favorable settlement prior to trial
* prosecuting and defending duty of loyalty and non-disclosure cases in the employment context
* prosecuting and defending non-compete cases in various industries including insurance, marketing, automobile sales, staffing services, and medical equipment and imaging.
* successfully defending automobile warranty claims, lemon law and consumer fraud cases for automobile dealers

In addition to handling complex litigation, Ed has litigated more routine commercial disputes in a wide range of substantive areas. He is a member of the Firm's recently-formed Employment Competition and Information Protection Group, which is composed of attorneys and paraprofessionals who have substantial experience in the drafting and enforcement of non-compete agreements, non-disclosure of trade secrets and confidential information, as well as other related issues. Ed also is a member of the Commercial Collections and Consumer Litigation Practice Group, and handles many of the Firm's more complex collection matters. Ed has represented numerous automobile dealerships and warranty companies in a wide variety of contexts including cases involving mediations, arbitrations and at trial.

Ed has been an attorney with Archer & Greiner since 1997. He earned his law degree with High Honors from Rutgers School of Law at Camden in 1997. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Drew University in 1989, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
