Biography:

David Edelstein, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, concentrates his practice on environmental litigation in state and federal courts. He has significant experience handling cases involving leaking underground storage tanks, cost recovery or contribution claims under the Federal Superfund Law (CERCLA) and state environmental laws, and the closure of former industrial properties under the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA). David has also handled numerous cases involving claims for natural resource damages.

In addition to counseling clients in environmental matters, David has experience prosecuting and defending actions concerning a wide variety of substantive issues, including: commercial contracts, products liability, insurance coverage and redevelopment law. He has co-authored articles for use in continuing legal education seminars regarding the use of eminent domain in municipal redevelopment projects.

David received his B.A. with honors from the University of Virginia in 2001 and graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2004. While in law school, David was a finalist in the John Davis moot court competition. He also served on the moot court executive board, co-authoring and administering the University’s annual moot court competition, which was judged by a panel of United States Circuit Court judges that included the current Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John G. Roberts, Jr.

Prior to joining Archer & Greiner, David clerked for the Honorable Anthony J. Parrillo, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division
