| Biography: | DAVID A. RAPUANO concentrates his practice in representing management in all areas of labor and employment law. Mr. Rapuano's practice involves client counseling to insure compliance with all aspects of labor and employment law, including reviewing and drafting employment handbooks, workplace investigations, hiring and termination issues, wage payment issues and compliance with state and federal leave laws. In addition, Mr. Rapuano engages in an active litigation practice involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Since beginning his practice in 1993, Mr. Rapuano, who is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has handled a wide variety of employment cases for both private and public sector clients. Mr. Rapuano has written several published articles related to labor and employment issues, such as the legal ramifications of monitoring of employee e-mail and the New Jersey Supreme Court's recent expansion of employer liability under the Conscientious Employee Protection Act. Mr. Rapuano has also lectured on various employment law topics before many business and professional groups, including the Council on Education in Management and the National Business Institute. Mr. Rapuano has been with Archer & Greiner since the beginning of 1999, coming to the firm with some five years' experience representing private and public sector management clients with respect to labor and employment law matters. Prior to entering private practice in 1994, Mr. Rapuano served for a year as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Warren Brody, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. He earned his law degree, cum laude, in 1993 from the University of Notre Dame Law School, and received a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the Brown University in 1990. Mr. Rapuano was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1993 and in Pennsylvania in 1994. |
